What are Bible Colleges and Seminaries Teaching About MDR?
Please reach us at if you cannot find an answer to your question.
MDR is an acronym for "Marriage, Divorce, and "Remarriage."
If you "restart" a car, you start the same car. If you "reapply" for a job, you apply for the same job. If you "reenter" a room, you enter the same room once again. However, in societal terms, "remarriage" is used to refer to marrying a different person, which is incorrect. Hence, the word "remarriage" is rendered in quotation marks.
This book investigates what is being taught about marriage, divorce, and “remarriage” within Bible colleges and seminaries, and discusses the influence this teaching has on what congregants will then hear (or not hear) about these topics within their local churches. The book asks these important questions: Are the teachings biblically accurate? Do they align with Jesus’ words?
The author of the book is Gary Ciesla.
The book is available for purchase on this website.
